The Safety Management Applied Research Team (SMART) is looking for motivated and passionate individuals who would like to participate in Occupational Health Psychology (OHP) related research projects. Occupational Health Psychology is the application of psychology to the workplace in order to improve the safety and well-being of individuals, both on the job and at home. We are currently seeking RAs to assist in a Suicide Intervention Evaluation project. Gain qualitative research experience and build your research skills, while directly interacting with participants.

I'm looking for reliable, conscientious, and self-motivated research assistants to help run subjects for my thesis. Very broadly, my research is on trainer differences; if you wish to know more, please contact me. An interest in I/O or business is preferable, but not necessary. Experience with research is invaluable if you want to apply to graduate school or show an employer that you are a dedicated worker! For my dissertation study, I am looking for a research assistant to help code data for level of creativity and help me tag-team data entry. RA will gain experience in rater agreement meeting processes (good for those interested in I/O or who plan to do their own qualitative rater coding studies some day). I can accomodate 1-2 research credits, and am willing to provide teaching on agreement statistics, research design, etc.

We are currently searching for an individual who is interested in collecting data and leading teams in a Virtual Team Study--being conducted by Ms. Jenny Pitts. The individual must be detail-oriented and have sufficient experience with Microsoft Excel/Word. An interest in I/O Psychology will help to enhance the experience, but is not necessary. There will be opportunities for credit (1-3 credits) and should be willing to continue research through the Spring as well as into the following academic year. The Human Development Lab is looking for research assistants to help with collecting and analyzing human electrophysiological data. We study sensory processing by recording electroencephalograms (EEGs) in children and adults and also typically administer behavioral (paper/pencil) tests. You can earn psychology research credits (1 credit=3 hours/week) or simply volunteer as a research assistant. There may also be opportunities for a paid position in the lab.

Research assistant positions are available in Dr. Rhodes’s lab. The lab is structured to reward RAs who work diligently with opportunity for promotion. Holding and excelling in a RA position is crucial when applying to graduate school (in any area of psychology), and is also beneficial work experience.

In order to apply for and RA position the following criteria must be met:

(1) G.P.A. of at least 3.50
(2) Must be willing to commit to holding the position for at least 2
semesters
(3) Must be a Psychology major

This National Science Foundation-sponsored qualitative interview study investigates factors affecting the career and educational choices of under-represented groups (e.g., women, ethnic minorities) in certain fields of science, technology and engineering. The project emphasizes understanding social and cultural influences on such choices, through interviews with U.S. and international undergraduate and graduate students in these disciplines.

I am looking for reliable, responsible, self-motivated psychology students to assist in conducting experiments examining human learning & memory.

The experiments I am running this semester will examine false memories, metacognition, and the effects of taking tests on memory.

Applicants should also have a GPA of 3.5 or higher and be able to work 3-9 hours a week as a volunteer or for course credit.
